Mastercard and Spanish multi-gaming G2 Esports have announced a strategic partnership. Terms and other terms of the agreement are unknown. As part of the collaboration, the companies will release video content, including behind-the-scenes footage of the life of the G2 squad on League of Legends.

The announcement took place a few days before the finals of the LoL World Cup. On November 10, in a decisive match for three wins, G2 Esports will meet with FunPlus Phoenix. The initial prize pool of the 2019 World Championship is $ 2.225 million, of which the winner will receive 37.5%: Riot Games will add an unknown amount to the pool at the end of the tournament.
