Since the genre itself appeared more than ten years ago, many experienced gamers call only two franchises as true MOBA blockbusters: the progenitor of online arenas called DotA (and her remake of Dota 2, created in conjunction with the iconic company Valve), as well as the League of Legends project , which will be discussed in this article.

League of Legends was born in the fall of 2009 thanks to the efforts of developers from the American company Riot Games. The game was distributed according to the “free-to-play” model and in many ways resembled its main competitor in the person of DotA, in the image and likeness of which it was created. But just a few months after the release, the project gained such popularity that many creators of MOBA games could only dream of. Currently, the game has registered more than seventy-five million users, of which nearly half are regularly online.
