Faker about the match with G2 Esports: “There were situations in which I could play better”

T1 leader Lee Faker San Hyuk said he could play better at some points in the match against the G2 Esports in the 2019 World Championship League of Legends semifinal. According to the esportsman, he and his team are unhappy with the tournament results this year, because T1 lost to G2 Esports at international competitions for the second time. Faker spoke about this during a press conference after the match.

Lee Faker San Hyuk:

“There were situations in which I could play better. Most of all, I regret that I was not able to capitalize on those moments. <…>

We lost a lot of G2 Esports this year, and I really want to interrupt this series of defeats. Now this is a team that I definitely really want to win. Next time I’ll definitely get even with her. ”

Faker did not comment on rumors that the T1 will change the composition in the offseason. Instead, he said the importance of change and the need to “take a step forward.” Based on these words, some fans suggested that a change in the team will definitely happen.

“Change is important. This year, our results are unsatisfactory, so we must take a step forward, based on the experience gained after this defeat. ”

Earlier, T1 coach Kim kkOma Jung Gyun, in a conversation with reporters, took the blame for losing the team. He noted that individually his players were better prepared than G2 Esports players.

The 2019 World Championship was the first world championship in a career of Faker, in which he participated and did not reach the final. T1 finished the tournament in 3-4 places and earned more than $ 155 thousand in prize money. The championship finals between G2 Esports and FunPlus Phoenix will begin on November 10 at 15:00 Moscow time.
